Decorative MDF Slat Wall Panels

Our MDF Slatted Wall Panels are a modern, paintable vertical wall cladding solution designed to bring depth and structure to interior spaces. Featuring evenly spaced slats with deep grooves, these vertical slat wall panels are the perfect choice for both residential and commercial interiors.

Common uses include feature walls in living rooms, TV/media walls, hallway upgrades, and full-height panelling in bedrooms. They’re also a popular choice for commercial interiors such as offices, salons, cafes, and reception areas – anywhere you want to add visual impact and a clean, contemporary finish.

Smaller panels measures 390mm wide by 9mm thick and are available in three convenient lengths: 2400mm, 1200mm, and 1000mm.

Slats are 29mm wide with grooves 10mm wide by 6mm deep.

Full sheets are also available, measuring 2400mm high x 1170mm wide, ideal for larger wall areas.

We manufacture all panels in-house from Finsa Hidrofugo, a premium moisture-resistant MDF that is denser than other MR MDF boards and far denser than standard MR MDF. The benefit of using this superior material is a reduction in fibre lift when painting and minimal preparation time.

Paintable and Customisable

To provide the upmost flexibility, we supply the panels in a raw, unpainted state, allowing you to choose how you finish the panels and what you finish them with.

Alternatively, you can select the option to have your panels sanded and primed with two coats of primer prior to delivery; however; if you plan to paint with a matt or vinyl matt emulsion, priming may be unnecessary.

For vinyl-silk emulsion finishes, we would recommend a coat of matt emulsion or primer underneath. Water-based acrylic or oil-based paints require priming prior to application (we suggest Dulux Quick Dry Wood Primer Undercoat or choosing our sanded & primed option).

Because of the dense quality of the Finsa Hidrofugo MDF, sanding is easier and less intensive. We recommend sanding panels before each coat, especially the edges and grooves, for the best possible finish.

Easy Installation

Installation is a straightforward process with panels being bonded, using a suitable wall panel adhesive such as our Geocel construction adhesive, screwed or a combination of both, directly to the wall.

With an overall thickness of just 9mm, the panels are easy to cut to size, and scribe into corners, where needed.

Careful planning and setting out will help to ensure even spacing at either end of your wall. Please do not start at one end and hope for the best.

How to order

We produce our panels in easy-to-ship 390mm wide boards, this means we can deliver them to most UK mainland locations. Choose the length, width and quantity of the panels that best suit your project and we will ensure they are delivered direct to your door.

Full sheets are available for delivery within our drivers’ range only – please see Delivery Map (Zone 1) to confirm coverage.

Another option to consider and add to your order is our pre-priming service. This includes pre-sanding and two coats of a water-based primer. The primer is suitable for almost all paint products.

3000mm long paintable slat walls can be supplied upon request.
