Our smooth grey melamine faced Birch Plywood is actually a Phenolic film (coloured paper infused with a Phenol resin) faced board rather than a Melamine film (coloured paper infused with a Melamine resin) faced board. Phenolic faced Birch Plywood is far more durable and provides a greater scratch resistance, and chemical resistance, when compared to Melamine faced board.

Whatever project you have in mind for your Grey faced Birch Plywood, we would strongly advise you seal the edges with either a clear PU varnish, or a matching, or contrasting PVC edging. Doing this will protect your panels against dirt and water ingress, and will keep them looking as beautiful as the day they were delivered and for many years to come.
