MF MDF or MFC, which is best?
MF MDF!… MF MDF will always cut better and cleaner than its Chipboard counterpart. MF MDF has a flatter, smoother surface and will take fixings, cut and edge, better than MFC.
Many kitchen carcass manufacturers use Melamine faced chipboard , however, this is most likely a cost based decision. Most higher end, kitchen manufacturer will use a melamine faced MDF or Veneer faced MDF board.
Moisture ingress is a concern for MF MDF, however the risk is no greater than it is for chipboard based products. For added “peace of mind” we offer a moisture resistant, melamine faced MDF.
Available, from stock, in two colours, black, used primarily in bar construction, and white, which is the ideal choice for kitchen cabinets. Both products are available via our online cut to size service.

Each of the Melamine faced boards we offer online is available, as standard, with a 2mm matching PVC edging however, and upon request, we can also offer 1mm and contrasting coloured edging to suit your own project needs.
